Terms of service
Last updated
These terms are the agreement between you and Enrico Rossini ("we", "us") for using zaq.to. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you use zaq.to for an organisation, you accept them on its behalf.
1. The service
zaq.to shortens web addresses, hosts files behind short links, makes QR codes, and counts the visits each link receives. Some features are on the free plan; others need a paid plan, as set out on the pricing page.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 13 to use zaq.to, and old enough to enter a contract where you live to buy a paid plan.
- Give a real email address and keep your sign-in details to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us straight away if you think someone else has got into it.
3. What you may not do
Short links hide where they go, which makes them useful to people doing harm. You must not use zaq.to to link to, host or distribute:
- phishing pages, or anything built to collect passwords, card details or other credentials under false pretences;
- malware, or links that download software people didn't ask for;
- spam, or links sent in bulk to people who didn't agree to receive them;
- content that's unlawful where you are or in the UK, including material that sexually exploits children, incites violence or infringes someone else's copyright or trademarks;
- redirects designed to hide the real destination from a security filter, or to impersonate another person or company.
You also must not try to get round plan limits, overload the service, probe it for weaknesses without our written permission, or resell it without an agreement with us.
4. What we can do about it
If a link or file breaks section 3, or we reasonably believe it does, we can disable it straight away and without notice. If an account keeps breaking these terms, or breaks them seriously, we can suspend or close it. Where we can, we'll tell you why. If you think we got it wrong, email us and we'll look again.
5. Your content
The links, files and titles you add stay yours. You give us permission to store them, serve them to the people who open your links, and make the copies that running the service needs — nothing more. You confirm you have the right to share what you upload.
6. Paid plans
- Prices are shown on the pricing page in GBP. Plans are paid in advance, monthly or yearly.
- A paid plan renews automatically at the end of each period, at the price then in force, until you cancel.
- If we change a plan's price, we'll email you at least 30 days before it applies to your next renewal, so you can cancel first.
- Cancellation and refunds are covered by the refund policy, which forms part of these terms.
- If a payment fails, we'll tell you and try again. If it still can't be taken, your account moves to the free plan; nothing is deleted.
7. Availability
We work to keep zaq.to running and your links resolving, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted, and we may change or retire features. If we're going to stop offering something you pay for, we'll give you reasonable notice and refund the unused part of your plan.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow to be limited. Otherwise, we aren't liable for losses that weren't reasonably foreseeable, or for lost profits, business or data. Our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to what you paid us in that period, or £100.00 if that is more. If you're a consumer, this section doesn't affect your statutory rights.
9. Ending the agreement
You can stop using zaq.to and delete your account at any time from your account settings. We can end the agreement under section 4, or with 30 days' notice for any other reason, in which case we refund the unused part of any paid plan.
10. Changes to these terms
We'll post any changes here and update the date at the top. If a change matters, we'll email account holders at least 30 days before it takes effect.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to its courts. If you're a consumer living elsewhere in the UK or the EU, you can also rely on the mandatory laws of, and bring proceedings in, the place you live.
